Security

Should I enable security for my Beams?

Absolutely yes. You should enable security as soon as you have added a Beam to your website.

What can happen if my security is turned off?

If somebody puts code from your site on theirs they can deliver Beams using your account. We strongly suggest that you make sure that your security is set up correctly before taking your Beams live.

How do I enable security?

You enable security by adding the URL, domain name or IP address of the website your Beams are being served from in to the security panel of the 'Overview' section. If you do not enter an address and you have security enabled you Beams will not be active.

What is the difference between using a URL, domain or IP for security?

The different methods allow you to provide varying amonts of protection for your websites. If you use an IP you cover Beams on all websites on that server, if you use a domain name you cover all Beams on that domain and if you use a URL you cover only the Beams on that web page.

My Beam is displaying the warning "Security Blocking Active", what's wrong?

If you see this warning this means that your acount security is active but you have not yet added the URL to your security settings panel. Please go to the security panel in your 'Overview' section and add the URL or domain name of the website that your Beam is being serverd from.

I think somebody is using my account to send Beams, what do I do?

Check your reports, you will see any URL's that Beams are being sent from, if you find somebody doing so enable your security settings. Please let us know as well and we can take action.
